We organise our life together differently from most churches. Legally and financially we are a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission to whom we submit annual returns about our finances and office bearers. We have an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year at which the financial accounts are presented. Members of our Community are invited to become members of the company, and participate in the integration of the practical and spiritual aspects of our life together.
Legal incorporation requires us to have Articles of Faith to which all members can personally subscribe. This is the Apostles Creed.
We have a board of directors who are also the Leadership Team (LT) of our Community, and these people are nominated and elected by the members of the community/ company at the AGM. They serve for a term of three years.
Within the Christian church there are many callings and ministries. Our goal is to remain faithful to the particular calling God has placed on our community, that is, to be a place of healing and hospitality. We understand that the outworking of that will change and evolve over time as we continue to welcome new members and move forward together.
