It is a quality of relationship. It is not unique to our fellowship, but it is something that we particularly treasure. We are called to be in relationship with God and with one another, and as we grow in one, we grow in the other.
Relationship is at the heart of our Community – in fact, it is the very work of the Community. While we have the visible works that happen through our stewardship of Bundeena House, our main call is to relationship.
We choose to walk with one another and be companions on the journey of our lives, sharing our joys and sorrows, our important moments and our everyday lives. God is revealed to us as we share our lives with one another.
The Community is our collected selves. Every person who joins this Community becomes not only part of it but becomes part of shaping it. Each life is woven into the fabric of the Community, but retains its individuality and unique flavour. The journeys of our lives before coming to Bundeena have been formed and shaped and enriched by God, and you have brought a very important part of God with you to share with us.
But Community is more than the sum of its parts. We are more than a collection of people adding up to a group. God lives in each one of us and the Holy Spirit binds us together, doing a work in us and through us that is bigger than we could manage on our own.
